It's a girl, another maternity shoot
Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:42PM Another fun maternity shoot. Quite a bright, sunny day, but with the help of some shaded spots in the backyard, we got some great photos of the parents-to-be. And it really was a girl, by the way.

Email Article Three generations, a summer photo shoot
Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:12PM Under what was quite-a-warm-summer-day-for-Vancouver this family of three generations were really good sports. The bright sunny day turned out to be quite the challenge with only a few shaded spots in the garden. But with some posing and composition creativity the results came out nicely varied.

Email Article Three, soon four
Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 10:27PM Today, on a beautiful sunny Vancouver-day, I spent the morning on a photo shoot with this great family of three, soon four. We shot for a couple of hours at Dundarave Park by the water in West Vancouver, and managed to find some nice shade in the harsh March sun.

Email Article Window of opportunity, lighting tips #1
Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 7:22PM The first thing I do when someone asks me to take their group picture at a party is to move them into a spot with good lighting. I don't know what it is with people, but we seem to gravitate towards standing in front of windows thinking: "oh, how wonderful we will get the nice view in the picture". I hate to be the one to break the news, but no, that is not what will happen.
