I have to say that this adorable three year old probably has been one of the most expressive children I have shot to dat. Out at the UBC area I found some great, green backdrop to contrast the cute expressions

For the technically interested: The outdoor lighting was added from a small portable softbox mounted on my SB900 flashgun. This was before I got a ringflash, which has been my weapon of choice for outdoor fill light since, but looking at the photos got me thinking that I should probably dust off that soft box again. Not as portable as the ringflash, but I do like the light. All shots are with the Nikon D300 + Nikon 17-55mm f2.8.
