Before starting a photo shoot in December with mother daughter, I asked what they enjoy doing together. "We enjoy drinking coffee together" was one of the answers. So very fittingly part of the shoot was done at The Boathouse Restaurant in beautiful Horseshoe Bay over a cup of coffee.

For the technically interested: Lighting indoors was a combination of natural light falling in from large windows and a single SB900 being bounced off a high, dark ceiling. Outdoors the fill light was added with my ringflash (link to cocopost) mounted on the SB900 held off camera. The images were pretty much exclusively shot with the Nikon 85mm f1.4 coupled with the D700. Uh! such a great combo.
