"Don't shoot!" Winter Olympic biathlon

During the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic games I was fortunate enough to go to the men's 12.5 km biathlon pursuit event in Whistler. A lot of fun, and I even managed not to get shot at.

For the technically interested: The shots are from an overcast day shot with the Nikon D700 and Nikon 105mm f2.8 VR Micro lens. Not exactly for your sports setup, but hey it worked. All are shot with natural light at ISO 100 to minimize the amount of light entering the sensor with all the bright snow in the frame. The downhill shots are slowed down by panning and shooting at 1/100 to 1/125 s shutter speed.
